Position Overview:
Cyware Labs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal SDET Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Principal SDET Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through robust testing methodologies and automation frameworks. This individual will lead the testing efforts, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes.
What you will do:
Develop and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing of Cyware Labs' software products.
Design and implement scalable and efficient testing frameworks to streamline the testing process and enhance test coverage.
Lead and mentor a team of SDET engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and fostering a culture of excellence.
Collaborate with software development teams to incorporate testing requirements into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure early defect detection.
Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Drive innovation in testing methodologies, tools, and processes to improve overall product quality and accelerate release cycles.
Participate in product design reviews, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies to provide insights into testability and quality considerations.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, or related roles, with a focus on test automation and testing methodologies.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Golang.
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or CSQA are a plus.
